Garden Ranger Activities
Our Garden Ranger will lead a variety of activities across the season. Children of all ages can enjoy activities such as - pond dipping, den building, kite making, campfire breakfasts and orienteering.
Booking in advance is recommended, as spaces are limited.
Ranger activities, do not include admission to the Gardens. Admission tickets or Friends of the Garden tickets must be added to the basket before checking out.
All children must be accompanied by an adult.

This is a great, fun, muddy activity with our Garden Ranger. You will get dirty, but it’s not your face that will become muddy—unless you want it to! You will use mud and other natural materials to create faces on tree trunks and rocks. These will be left as a surprise for other Garden visitors to discover. Enjoy lunch in the Tea Room afterwards. Why not join us for some garden art in the afternoon ? All children must be accompanied by an adult. Please wear suitable outdoor clothing.

The Garden Ranger will help you make a weaving frame and weave some of the Garden's natural materials into a hanging for you to take home. We will also add it to the Garden's new woven hanging, which all our visitors can admire. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Please come in suitable outdoor clothing.
