What happens when I book a ticket online?

On completion of your booking, you will be emailed an e-ticket containing a barcode and booking reference number. You will be required to bring your e-ticket with you to show upon arrival. You may show your e-ticket on your smartphone or simply make a note of the Booking Reference Number and bring it with you.

Do I need to print my ticket?

There's no need to print your tickets. ou may show your e-ticket on your smartphone or simply make a note of the Booking Reference Number and bring it with you. You can find your e-ticket in your confirmation email. 

Who can I contact about my booking?

For general enquiries about visiting the gardens or admission tickets, please call the main admissions desk on 01581 400 225. For enquiries about events and membership, please call the office on 01776 702 024.

Does my Friends of the Garden membership last for a full year?

Our membership tickets are valid until 30 October 2022. They will not be valid for the following season. 

Which days can RHS members enter the gardens for free?

RHS members can visit the gardens every Thursday for free. You will be asked to show your membership card at the entrance. 

Are we allowed to bring our dogs?

Yes, we just ask that well-behaved dogs are kept on a lead in the garden. 

Are dogs allowed in the tearoom?

We have outdoor and covered seating where well behaved dogs on leads are welcome. 

When are the tearoom and shop open?

Every day from 10.00am - 5.00pm.

How long do the walks around the garden take?

We have three marked routes around the gardens, which take from 45 minutes, to 2 hours. 

Is there disabled access?

We have ramps and facilities available. Visitors should be aware that the ground conditions can be quite wet underfoot sometimes, and that there are steeper sloped areas of the garden. 

Can I bring a picnic?

Yes, we just ask that you take any rubbish away with you afterwards.
